Storm Emergency Plan

When a major storm or other disaster occurs, Capital Electric Cooperative (CEC) does its utmost to restore our member’s power as soon as possible. At times when a large-scale catastrophe such as a major storm occurs, we will ask our member-owners for various forms of help in order get the electricity on again. Some examples of help that we receive include plowing snow, pulling out stuck equipment, volunteer labor, use of equipment, filling up at gas pumps, etc. Currently, our storm emergency list is approximately 200 members strong and growing! If you have equipment or expertise that you’d be willing to help the cooperative with in the event of a major disaster, please fill out the Storm Emergency Plan signup form and mail/fax/email it to:
