Hundreds of people attend each year, which provides an opportunity for co-ops to visit with area business people and teach them about Touchstone Energy®.
On a national level, Touchstone Energy is an alliance of member-owned electric cooperatives that do business with integrity, accountability, innovation and commitment to community.
On a local level, the alliance of Touchstone Energy cooperatives shows how partnerships tie communities together.
“From generation and transmission cooperatives like Basin Electric to distribution cooperatives like Mor-Gran-Sou and Capital, our unity as Touchstone Energy cooperatives says, ‘We’re all in this together, and we’ll continue to strengthen North Dakota together,’” says Wes Engbrecht, manager of communications and public relations for Capital Electric.
During the Chamber mixer, Jeremy Woeste, alternative technologies coordinator with Basin Electric, answered questions on renewable energy.
Engbrecht and Jackie Miller, manager of member services for Mor-Gran-Sou Electric, discussed electric heat products and handed out door prizes and gift baskets that contained North Dakota products. Clark Van Horn, advertising manager for the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives, and Carmen Devney, staff writer, worked a neighboring booth and promoted the North Dakota LIVING magazine.
