Rogstad popular on payday

Laurie Rogstad, accounting clerk

At Capital Electric Cooperative, we take pride in contributing to the community and to the economy by employing hard-working people and paying competitive wages. We currently employ 31 full-time people to perform a variety of jobs, ranging from line work to office support. While those 31 people perform many specialized tasks, they all have one thing in common: they look forward to paydays! Because of that, Laurie Rogstad, accounting clerk, is a very popular person twice a month, both with employees and vendors.

Laurie, who joined the co-op back in September 2005, handles accounts payable, payroll, account reconciliation and backup billing. She earned a business degree from Bismarck State College, and formerly worked at a large bank for 14 years as an administrative assistant. With experience in customer service, payroll, foundation grants and accounts receivable, Laurie knows the importance of paying bills on time and treating members with respect.

A native of Hoven, S.D., Rogstad has a husband, daughter and three step children. Her family owns a ranch southeast of Bismarck, where they raise black angus cows. In her free time, Laurie says she enjoys riding horses, reading and volunteering for the Burleigh County 4-H, where she serves both as president and mother.
