Schaffner hired to serve members

Josh Shaffner member services representative
Members are the heart of every cooperative. Serving those members is the number-one priority for Capital Electric Cooperative. To provide information on the value of electric heat and to educate members on technology and safety, Capital Electric recently hired Josh Schaffner as member services assistant. Josh will also coordinate with contractors for heat pump installations and on new and updated services, track inventory and process service orders.

Josh attended Bismarck State College for two years and earned an associate’s degree in electronics. He continued his education at Minnesota State University Moorhead and graduated with a bachelor of applied science degree in operations management.

A native of Zeeland, Josh grew up along KEM Electric Cooperative power lines. His father, Anton, has served as chairman for KEM’s Operation Round Up since the program’s inception in 2002.

Josh brings an extensive work history to Capital Electric. He served an internship at Bobcat for a manufacturing engineer. He worked for Finley Engineering Company, bringing new telephone and fiber-optic service to rural North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. He also spent a year at the Minot Air Force Base working security for the North Dakota National Guard in support of the deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq.

If you have questions regarding electric heat, give Josh a call at (701) 223-1513. While you’re at it, welcome him to Capital Electric Cooperative. He’s here to serve your needs!
