The corporate-owned steakhouse opened Nov. 21 in Bismarck and can seat about 250 people. It’s known for its hand-cut stakes made from scratch, freshly baked bread, ice-cold beer and handmade margaritas.
Store Manager Mike Malmberg says the restaurant employs approximately 175 people, and that the Texas Roadhouse was fully staffed before the grand opening.

Malmberg says that since the restaurant opened, business has set records. “We’re busy from the time we unlock the doors to the time we close. We hope to hold on to sales and continue to satisfy our niche in the marketplace.”
Known for its community service, the Texas Roadhouse fed numerous charities during training.
“All the food that was cooked during training week was donated to charities. We fed the battered women’s and children’s shelter here on Thanksgiving Day, and donated all of the proceeds, bar sales and server tip-out during our preopening parties,” says Malmberg. He estimates the total donation to be about $5,000.
“We’re just glad to be here and be a part of the community,” he says.
The Texas Roadhouse is located at 1505 Burnt Boat Drive, by the intersection of Interstate 94 and Divide Avenue, behind the Country West Conoco.
