Capital Electric Cooperative to sell headquarters buildings, land
Capital Electric Cooperative (CEC) recently purchased a new facility to serve as its future headquarters. As a result, the co-op is selling its buildings and land in north Bismarck near the intersection of State Street and 43rd Avenue North.
“We plan to move out of our current building in about two years and need to start the process of selling it. It’s a big step for the cooperative to move its operations, and we want to do it in the best way possible for our members,” says CEC General Manager Paul Fitterer.
The properties include:
• a 27,000-square-foot administration building with three levels,
• a 26,000-square-foot warehouse building,
• 42,000 square feet of adjacent undeveloped land, and
• 162,000 square feet of undeveloped land on 43rd Street North, across from Cash Wise.
The developed campus has been constructed and cared for with robustness and reliability with a utility mindset. A standby generator provides full power to the campus, cameras and electronic locks provide a secure perimeter, and a strong internet connection supports IT services.
