RDFC Awards Grant to Wing Booster Club

The Rural Development Finance Corporation (RDFC) has recently awarded a $2,000 grant to The Wing Booster Club, located in Wing, ND. The Wing Booster Club finances and operates the Wing Theatre. The theatre is located on Main Street and serves rural and urban individuals and families from the Wing, McClusky, Tuttle, Sterling, Wilton, Steele and Bismarck/Mandan vicinity. The theatre is also operated by dedicated community volunteers each weekend beginning in April. The Wing Booster Club was organized in the 1980's to manage the theatre, and has been in operation ever since. The grant funds will be used to update the theatre’s equipment from analog to digital projection.

RDFC, of which Capital Electric is a member, is owned and operated by North Dakota’s electric and telecommunications cooperatives. RDFC operates a $4 million revolving loan fund to participate in affordable financing for community facilities, infrastructure and rural businesses.
